Welcome to DreamSphere. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

1. Information We Collect

To provide you with our service, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. If you sign up using Google, we receive your basic profile information as provided by Google.
• User-Generated Content: We collect the content of the dreams you submit, which may include text, associated emotions (`Happy`, `Sad`, etc.), and optional location data you provide.
• AI-Generated Data: To enhance your experience, we process your dream text to generate related data, such as themes, interpretations, and categories. This data is linked to your dream entries.
• Anonymous Usage Data: We may collect anonymous data about how you interact with the app (e.g., which features are used most) to help us improve the service. This data is not linked to your personal account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Maintain the Service: To save your dreams, sync them across devices (if you have an account), and display them within the DreamSphere.
• To Personalize Your Experience: To provide you with personal insights, statistics, and analysis in your private DreamMachine journal.
• To Improve Our App: To understand how users interact with DreamSphere so we can fix bugs and develop new features.
• For Security: To protect your account and prevent fraudulent activity.

3. Data Sharing and Anonymity

Your privacy and anonymity are core principles of DreamSphere.

• Public Dreams are Anonymous: When you submit a dream to the public sphere, it is associated only with a non-identifiable, algorithmically generated handle (e.g., "solar-otter-1a2b"). Your email address or personal information is never publicly displayed.
• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties.

4. Data Security

We use Firebase, a secure platform provided by Google, to store and protect your data. All data is transmitted over secure (HTTPS) connections. While no system is 100% secure, we take all reasonable measures to protect your information.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to control your data. From within the app, you can:

• Export Your Data: You can export all of your dream entries as a text file at any time from the "Account" section of your DreamMachine.
• Delete Your Account: You can permanently delete your account and all of your dreams) from the "Account" section. This action is irreversible.
